How Pricing Works

Base + Per-Seat Model

Each plan has a base price that includes the platform and all applicable features. On top of that, you pay a per-driver seat fee for each driver who uses the mobile app.

Example: A Professional plan with 3 drivers costs:

  • Base: $59/mo
  • Driver seats: 3 × $20 = $60/mo
  • Total: $119/mo

Annual Billing

Annual plans save roughly 20% compared to monthly billing. Driver seats are always billed monthly regardless of the base plan billing cycle.

Free Trial

Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial on the Professional plan. During the trial, you have full access to all Professional features. No credit card required to start.

After the trial:

  • Choose a plan and enter payment info to continue
  • If you don't subscribe, your account is paused (data is preserved)
  • You can reactivate anytime by subscribing

Note: Nearest-neighbor optimization (the non-AI option) is always unlimited on all plans.

Custom Portal Domain

Professional and Enterprise plans can use a custom domain for the customer portal (e.g., portal.yourbusiness.com instead of nextroute.app/portal).

Custom Email Domain

Send automated emails (invoices, notifications, welcome messages) from your own domain (e.g., noreply@yourbusiness.com) instead of from NextRoute.

SMS Notifications

Send text message notifications to customers — service reminders, skip alerts, invoice notifications, and custom messages.

White Label Branding

Enterprise only. Remove all NextRoute branding from the customer portal, emails, invoices, and the mobile app. Your customers see only your brand.

Managing Your Subscription

From the Dashboard

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Under the Subscription section, you'll see your current plan and usage
  3. Click Change Plan to upgrade or downgrade
  4. Click Manage Billing to update payment methods or view invoices

Upgrading

Upgrades take effect immediately. You're charged the prorated difference for the remainder of the billing cycle.

Downgrading

Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. If your usage exceeds the new plan's limits, you'll need to reduce usage before the downgrade takes effect (e.g., archive customers, remove team members).

Canceling

You can cancel anytime from Settings. Your account remains active until the end of the current billing cycle. After that:

  • Your account is paused
  • Data is preserved for 90 days
  • You can reactivate anytime by resubscribing

Usage Monitoring

The dashboard shows your current usage vs plan limits. You'll receive email warnings when you reach 80% and 100% of any limit.

When a limit is reached:

  • You can still use existing resources (routes, customers, etc.)
  • You cannot create new resources that exceed the limit
  • The API returns a 429 Plan Limit Exceeded error with details about which limit was hit
